My husband wanted Mexican. I wanted something...wasn't sure so went on the limb and ordered a burger. This was THE BEST burger. It was cooked perfectly, topping were fresh, it was huge. I can't wait to go back. Only bad thing we were in a large room with other tables and it was LOUD. Not the restaurant fault. But if you issue with really loud places you may not want to sit in the front large room

DON NOT MISS THIS PLACE! Are you kidding me?!?! I’ve been trying Bham restaurants for five weeks now and THIS is the best meal I’ve had! It doesn’t hurt my feelings that is was a great value. My salmon filet was huge and perfectly grilled. Additionally, the mango and tomatoes were ripe and sweet. Kudos to this little hidden gem.
There are several other good Mexican restaurants closer to our home and office, so we often overlook this little jewel in Homewood. It's got great food and great service and offers just a little bit different in the way of flavors and dishes than the others in the area. I don't think you can go wrong with most anything on the menu.
This place is a great neighborhood Mexican standby and has a busy, friendly vibe. Their cheese dip and salsa are both excellent and the Caldo Tlalpeno is a relatively unique soup I haven't seen at many other Mexican restaurants. Service is usually good and efficient. Margaritas are delicious. Parking is definitely limited but usually you can find a spot. Great for lunch or dinner! Perfect outdoor seating when weather allows.
